MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Lee Clayson
Lee Clayson - Lee comes from a Brass Band family and joined the Army as a cornet player at the age of 16 having learned to play at school and with the Salvation Army in Plymouth.
After 20 years of music making all over the world he was appointed to The Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, where he was involved in training young musicians and auditioning those who wished to join.
He was one of the instrumental figures in forming The Army Brass Band and helped to run this group for 5 years before retirement from the army in 2012 to set up his own company in Plymouth.
As well as his experience with The Army Brass Band, Lee has been one of the senior cornet players with several Championship Brass Bands including Desford Colliery where he can chalk up appearances at many contests including the National Championships and The British Open.
