Plymouth's Brass Band
Enjoying the sound of brass in sunny Devon
Soundhouse Brass commenced under this name in 2002 and is a traditional, successful and rapildly improving brass band under the newly appointed Musical Director - Gary Pumford
We are fortunately based in a purpose built music facility 'The Soundhouse' at Estover Community College in Plymouth, and meet for practices every Tuesday evening 7.30 - 9.30pm and Thursday evening 7.45 - 9.45pm.
Experienced players (any ability) are always welcome, either to join the Band or to drop in for an evening's music-making. New members would become part of group which contains men and women of all ages as well as University and school age players with one thing in common - the love of brass band music.
The band performs at a variety of functions and competitions including the area championships. We are pleased to announce that at the last competition held on the 8th March 2008, we were promoted to the First Section.
Plymouth Soundhouse Youth Band is happy to accept youths up to the age of 19. The youth band meets for practice every Thursday from 6.00 - 7.30pm in 'The Soundhouse' Estover Community College and is run and supported by dedicated members from the main band.
