Emma joined Soundhouse Brass when she moved to Plymouth in 2009 to take up a job with Plymouth Marine Laboratory. She previously spent many years playing cornet with the Lourdes Brass Band, Drogheda.

Callum Dowd - Solo Cornet
Plymouth born, Callam, primary interest is Big Band which was developed whilst acting as lead trumpet for the "Berks Bucks and Oxfordshire Big Band" (BBO) during 2001-2003.
Featuring solo performances on television programmes such as the BBC's Song of Praise and performing in award winning musicals such as "Korzak", Callam can now be found supporting local amateur theatrical societies throughout Plymouth and Devon.

Julie Chivers - Solo Cornet
Julie started playing cornet at the age of 13 in Manchester. She has played in bands in all sections from the fourth section right through to Championship. Her most memorable occasion was winning the National Finals (second section) at Wembley arena in 1993 with Torbay Brass playing James Curnow's "Firestorm". Julie is married to John and she is also a volunteer tutor of our youth band.
